Kerosene now sell for N50 per litre in Delta communities

An indigenous firm operating in the riverine communities of Delta State, A & E Petrol has crashed the price of kerosene from N165 to N50 per litre in the oil rich riverine communities of Ugborodo and Tebi-Ijoh, Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State.

Chairman and CEO of A & E Petrol, Chief Ayirimi Emami in an interview, while supervising the sale of the one million litres of kerosene to Ajudaibo, Ogidigben, Tebi-Ijoh and other riverine oil and gas bearing communities disclosed that the subsidy, which cost his company over N70 million is the beginning of a long term plan to make kerosene and fuel easily accessible to people of the riverine communities in Delta State at affordable prices.

Chief Emami, who noted that the direct sale of kerosene and fuel by his company at cut-down prices will reduce illegal bunkering, stated that the gesture by A & E Petrol is not political, but geared towards reducing the untold hardship being faced by people of the riverine communities.
